At the beginning of this scene Shakespeare needs to make the audience believe that Romeo and Juliet sincerely yours are in love, as Romeo not long ago tell he was in love with Rosaline and likewise Juliet stated at the Capulet eggs she would be OK with marrying Paris.At the start of the play, Romeo and Juliet had just spent the iniquity together as a married couple. Just as Romeo has left, brothel keeper Capulet (Juliets mother) comes to Juliet and tells her that shes going to be marrying Paris. Before Juliet met Romeo at the Capulet Ball, Juliet state that she wouldnt mind having to marry Paris, so her parents a bit taken aback by Juliet when she says refuses to marry him. Lord Capulet in particular gets exceedingly angry, as children were forbidden to disagree with their parents. I think that when she argues with her momma and dad, she struggles to try and tell them why she doesnt marry Paris without telling the truth about Romeo. I feel that shes a natural teenager who feels the world is against her doing what she really wants to do, and in her case, the world actually is against her.
